EU DESIGN DAYS 2017 – REGISTER NOW! / Call for Young Talents

One year more BEDA has partnered up with ERRIN to bring the sixth edition of the successful series of EU Design Days. This year we will focus on the transformation of cities and regions and how design and innovation contributes to dealing with challenges such as an aging population, sustainable energy, climate adaptation and mobility solutions. In collaboration with practitioners, researchers and policymakers the EU Design Days 2017 seek to take an important next step in the transformation of cities and regions towards high quality of life, building on but also going beyond current practice.

The 2017 edition represents a new chapter of the EU Design Days which takes form in an inspiring programme and a selected audience. ERRIN, alongside partners like BEDA, has invested a great deal of effort and great outcomes are expected. Besides encouraging you to participate, I kindly ask you to disseminate this information through your organisations’ channels.

We want to communicate a call for a young designers working in mobility, living or health.

During the main event of the EUDD2017 the stage will be given to 5 talented young designers from all over Europe to present their vision for the future. As privileged partner, BEDA has been given the chance to sponsor a number of young talents from our network with an innovative idea, a ground breaking solution or an inspiring concept. BEDA will support their talents by reimbursing their travel expenses to Brussels and by sharing their ideas via our platform. This initiative is part of the Design Europe 2021 project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the EU.

At the moment the management team of the EUDD2017 and BEDA representatives are working on the final list of candidates. If your organisation wants to present a candidature, please send the contact details of the young talent and a short presentation of their idea (a website is also valid) as soon as possible, on Friday, 25th August at the latest. The management team will do the final section by the end of the months at the latest and communicate directly with the selected candidates afterwards.
